What do you think is the greatest opportunity available to the world right now?

I think the greatest opportunity right now is... change. The world right now is forcing everything to change. I believe there should be something there, that comes from this. Like the way we view things, the way we treat people.. it can even go up to the politics, you know? There needs to be a change in global politics. I think like what is happening right now, for example, in the US is pretty crucial for human history. I don‘t know, it feels like this is the perfect - well not the perfect, the most accurate time to make this push towards a more - how to say.. not peaceful but more equal planet. Because we have been having these extremist parties rising up, I think almost in every country in the world. And that is something we should not allow. It sounds anti-democratic, I know, but these kinds of things shouldn‘t be allowed to exist in society. Should we stop? ((A group of people walked up taking photos and generally being loud.))

Sure.

Okay, picking up.

So change. (Laughs) I mean, your question is pretty broad. I mean also in the arts, I have seen in magazines and publications really nice work with what artists went through during the lockdown and pandemic.. which is very nice work because most of them are pretty personal. In my personal view I think that‘s where the most powerful work can originate. It‘s been really nice, for example, I‘m subscribed to the British Journal of Photography and there during this period of time of the pandemic there has been really nice publications, regarding fine arts, regarding portraits, documentary photography. And it‘s something that I never thought I would experience in my lifetime, you know this huge Coronavirus thing. So I think it‘s also nice that change can be embraced, coming from this perspective, giving art a fresh new beginning.
